    Nationwide Title Clearing County Update

Nationwide Title Clearing received a notice from the office of the Nevada Clark County Recorder of recording fee increase effective November 1st, 2011. This fee increase affects the recording of documents such as a mortgage, lien release or mortgage assignment in this county.

The notice states that the Nevada State Legislature recently amended NRS 247.305 allowing County Commissioners the authority to increase the recording fees. The Clark County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance to increase the base fee for recording a document from $14 to $17 effective November 1st 2011. The additional $3.00 fee will be allocated to the legal services program for abused and neglected children. The fee for each additional page will remain at $1.00. The fee increase is not applicable to the recording of marriage certificates, Uniform Commercial Code, survey or parcel maps.
