PRESS RELEASE - (Palm Harbor, Fla.) February 1, 2012 Nationwide Title Clearing’s VP of Marketing, Joellen Raiti, has joined the Relay for Life Committee Palm Harbor Chapter as the Publicity Chair to help raise funds and bring awareness in the fight against cancer.
Nationwide Title Clearing’s (NTC) VP of Marketing will be joining the Relay for Life Committee, Palm Harbor Chapter, as the Publicity Chair, to help showcase and promote the event in order to gain maximum exposure and raise the most money and awareness in the fight against cancer. This year the Palm Harbor Relay is set for April 13, 2012, at 6:00 PM, which will be held Palm Harbor University High School.
Cancer is the second most common form of death in the United States, accounting for one out of four deaths. Relay for Life is a family-friendly event that takes place each year at many different locations, to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Teams of people camp out around a track, and members of each team take turns walking around the track for the duration of the 18 hour event. Food, games and activities provide entertainment to the local community and fundraising opportunities.
While NTC’s clientele in the residential mortgage banking industry are located throughout the country, NTC’s executives and employees are active in helping out in their local community of Tampa Bay. Over the holiday season, they held a toy drive partnering with Toys for Tots®, to give underprivileged kids toys for the holidays. In the past they have held a successful blood drives, clothing drives, and supported local teens by donating prom dresses and a variety of suits, shirts and formal shoes to the Tarpon Springs Boys and Girls Club.
“At Nationwide Title Clearing, we believe it is important to give back to the local community. Whenever we see an opportunity to lend a helping hand- whether it’s raising money, toys or awareness- we try our best to get everyone to join and help those who are less fortunate,” Raiti explained. “I have had close friends and family who have fought the cancer battle – they are my inspiration to this cause.”
