Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC) Helps Promote Tampa Bay—Attends Annual Tourism Partners Meeting. As a large Palm Harbor employer, NTC is helping bring visitors to their local community—and not just for work, but also to play, live, and experience what their own employees enjoy in the area.
Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC), a leading service provider for the residential mortgage industry, has been actively promoting tourism in Tampa Bay and recently attended the Clearwater Tourism Partners Committee Annual Meeting through the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce (CRCC). NTC joined the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2012, and at the same time, hired a community relations director, Janice Rush. Rush joined the team to help NTC forge community relations in Tampa Bay. The new NTC department focuses on finding activities and events in which NTC employees can participate or volunteer.
Due to the impact that tourism has on the Tampa Bay area, Hillman ensured that NTC attended the annual meeting to help promote the area as a year-round tourist destination. With over 300 local employees, NTC’s goal is not only to make Tampa Bay a profitable place to do business, but to also make it a thriving place in which its employees can reside.
“Having NTC involved in the tourism meetings allows us to make positive changes in our community, not just in business,” commented John Hillman, CEO of NTC. Hillman went onto explain that the meetings held by Tourism Committee help NTC executives gain a better understanding of how they can help to promote the tourism industry in Tampa Bay.
Entering into 2013, the tourism industry is dealing with high expectations and economic uncertainty, as reported by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. NTC officials believe that supporting the tourism industry is vital to the area’s economic survival. “I think that assisting [tourism] necessitates a mix of business sectors working together towards the goal of increasing travel to Florida,” stated Hillman.
