Representatives from Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC) will attend the MERS® User Conference in Reston, Virginia on June 18-19, 2013. NTC is a preferred MERS® service provider, and will attend the educational forum to remain abreast of the latest procedures. The members-only conference aims to provide MERS® members definitive answers to all their questions about MERS®—everything from what’s new with the system, to the latest in compliance. The conference also will show users how to get the various MERS® products and services working for them.
Brian Ernissee, Debbie Lastoria and Jeremy Pomerantz, from Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc., will attend the conference to garner information on the latest MERS® policies, procedures and guidelines. To read the full story click here.
MERS®, which operates an electronic registry designed to track servicing rights and ownership of mortgage loans in the United States, is holding the convention to provide its members with a “refresher course” on the MERS® system, and also to focus on how to make the system a more efficient investment for users. The conference will consist of 19 discussion sessions and informative forums that cover several topics, but what most interests NTC is the session dedicated to Quality Assurance - Data and Document Reviews. Because of today’s highly regulated mortgage industry environment, NTC continually works on perfecting its document processes by attending numerous workshops and conventions each year.
“NTC’s goal is to leave the [MERS®] conference well-educated on the latest policies, procedures and regulations,” said Brian Ernissee, Director of eServices at Nationwide Title Clearing. “As a company, we often seek out educational forums, and make a priority of remaining abreast of any changes in the industry.”
Nationwide Title Clearing works closely with MERS® on behalf of its mortgage lending and servicing clients to ensure all internal policies, procedures and systems conforms to the latest standards and is a key component in the company’s daily operation.
