Maricopa County, AZ sent Nationwide Title Clearing a notice regarding new fees for recording government-related documents effective Nov 1, 2010. These fees apply to any documents where the US, the State or a political subdivision is a party to the document, the document is recorded at the request of the US, the State or a political subdivision and the recording fee is to be paid from public monies.
