Nationwide Title Clearing received notice of statewide changes for recording fees in North Carolina effective October 1st, 2011.
Here are some of the changes.
Instruments in general went from $12.00 for the first page and $3.00 for each additional page to a new fee of $26.00 for the first 15 pages and $4.00 for each page thereafter.
Deeds went from $17.00 for the first page and $3.00 for each additional page to the new fee of $26.00 for the first 15 pages and $4.00 for each page thereafter.
The notice states that there is still no fee to record a satisfaction of deed of trust and satisfaction of mortgage because that is included in the original filing fee.
