NTC's Director of Disbursements logged 75 volunteer hours in 2015 and was awarded the Employee of the Year Award.
Tammy is a multi-faceted leader at NTC as she handles a very important part of our Finance division; but in addition she is one of NTC's most giving team members. She volunteered the most out of any other team member last year and she dedicates her free time to various community causes. Also, she is a talented hair stylist in her free time.

We sat down with Tammy to ask a few questions on how she manages to do it all.
1. What's your favorite part of working at NTC?
One of my favorite parts about NTC is being involved in many programs outside of work. There are so many to name but being able to give back to the communities and volunteering is huge.
2. How long have you worked with NTC? I have been at NTC for 4 ½ years.
3. Have you worked in other divisions/departments at NTC? If so, which ones? And how did it help you where you are now? I started off in Data Entry, and then shortly after was promoted to Manager of Document Follow-Up where I worked for almost two years. I was then given the opportunity to become the Director of Document Production, which I held that position for about two years before coming to Finance.
4. What professional training/experience do you have in the housing industry and/or in your field? I have never had any training in the housing industry before being employed with NTC. I have however, had several years experience outside of NTC in my current position in treasury.
5. Do you have any hobbies/outside interests that you enjoy? I have a passion for creating new styles and making everyone look beautiful. I am a licensed hair stylist, and have been for the past ten years. I do this part time mostly on the weekends.
6. What professional advice do you want to give to NTC team members who want to advance in their career? Do you have a mentor, did they offer you valuable advice you want to share? When working at a fast paced environment it is extremely important to have a positive outlook and a willingness to get the job done. Always remember that no question is a stupid question, ask as many as you need in whatever position you are in. There are many things here that you can learn and be trained in, so take advantage of the many training programs NTC has to offer. The more you know, the more successful you can become here at NTC.
I got a lot of valuable advice from Nicole Large while working in Division 4B as the Director of Document Production.
7. Feel free to share any personal information here. I am a single parent of 4 kids, two boys and two girls with the oldest being 25. Our family has two dogs, one small and one large and some fish. My favorite thing to eat on most any food is hot sauce!
Stay tuned for next week's Executive Spotlight Series!
