NTC's new Executive Spotlight Series will take you behind the scenes of NTC so you can get to know our team better.
Amazing team members are the heartbeat of NTC. Assistant VP of Administration Chelsea Rhody has been with NTC nearly four years and helps produce effective and qualified personnel for all of our divisions.
"I love working at NTC because it does not just feel like you are coming into an office every day, it feels like a community of people who are all working for the same goal and who truly enjoy working together," said Chelsea.
Chelsea has worked her way up in HR, beginning as a receptionist. She appreciates this because the position gave her an overview of every area of the company, as well as the pleasure to work with most employees within the company at some point in time.
While she did not have any housing industry experience prior to her position with NTC - she credits NTC with offering her specialized housing industry training - she's completed specific HR training, including material covering legal aspects of HR, employee benefits and more.
Chelsea has had a big hand in recruitment in the last few years and is still working to fill several open positions avaialble. Click here to see the list of current open opportunities.
To work at NTC is a privilege, according to Chelsea, because everyone has an opportunity to advance. Team members need only take advantage of NTC’s fantastic training and learn as much as they can, then communicate their desire to move up to their seniors so they can help them achieve success in advancement.
We asked Chelsea her hobbies and outside interests and she mentions her passion is to cook and bake (we really love her cupcakes around here!) and she enjoys participating in 5ks in the community.
Some fun tidbits that may surprise you about this executive is that she enjoys the thrill of roller coasters, has a huge fear of sharks and the ocean, and her favorite thing about living in Tampa Bay is going to the Tampa Bay Lightning games. But who doesn't love the Tampa Bay Lightning, am I right?! Chelsea is one of five children, she grew up in Michigan and moved to Florida about four years ago. She's also been a vegetarian for six years.
Stay tuned for next week's Executive Spotlight: VP of Sales Danny Byrnes.
