NTC's VP of Sales Danny Byrnes is a dynamic leader and family man known for his oustanding work ethic and sharp wit.
It takes a person with charisma and grit to be an outstanding sales person, and our VP of Sales possesses these qualities in abundance. A five year veteran at NTC, Danny's background spans 29 years in sales across four industries; insurance, entertainment, technology and now the residential mortgage industry. We recently published a white paper sharing Danny's insights on the Evolution of eRecording from the County Recorder's Perspective. You can download that white paper by clicking here.
Danny's relentless work ethic is the stuff of legend around the office. He's the guy who will drive five hours in a snow storm to make it to a conference on time. He's also the guy who regularly works over 12 hours and will be the first person in the office the next morning with a joke and his big cup of coffee.
Danny credits his father as his mentor. He taught him to be confident and with that confidence not care what others think about him. Through his father, he learned there is never a task too big or too difficult. (That explains the work ethic.)
He gave an example that his father would use; "If there was an impossible task to be done with a one in a million chance of success and certain failure imminent, my father would be the first to raise his hand and say “Sign me up! Sounds like fun!”
Danny's career advice to others is to always believe in yourself as the professional, act like it, and you will soon be the person looked on as the professional on whatever career you choose.
A really cool fact about Danny is that he traveled as a Tour Manager in the music business for 12 years, around the entire planet, for nine months out of every year. He's been to every continent and 90 % of the world's countries.
He also has a huge family and has been married to his lovely wife Trish for 20 years. He has five children aged three to 18, four sisters and one brother, 40+ first and second cousins - what he calls a " typical Irish American family." He added that family reunions are crazy and usually only happen for weddings and funerals.
How does he balance so much responsibility?
When he has spare time, he enjoys getting away on his motorcycle or takes the family camping. He is originally from Boston and is an avid football, baseball and hockey fan and lists Indian food as his favorite food.
Danny is basically tireless (or we need to change our coffee brand to whatever he's drinking). If you haven't met him yet, make sure you take the time to meet him!
Next week, check back for more of our Executive Spotlight Series as we highlight our VP of Treasury, Seth Bodak.
