Lucy Monette from the Humane Society of Pinellas brought Pongo, a year-old dalmation/pit bull mix, to NTC on May 31, 2016.
NTC's incredible team members once again rallied together behind a worthwhile cause and brought in over $500 value of pet food for the Humane Society of Pinellas's shelter animals this summer. We also want to thank the Largo Feed Store for their generous contribution.
Pinellas county's largest no-kill shelter struggles with high volumes of animals and short food supply at their facility, especially during the hot summer months. The food NTC donated will directly help the Senior Pet Connection, the arm of the shelter which helps senior citizens who can't afford to buy their furry friends pet food.
The Humane Society of Pinellas offers adoptable dogs, cats, birds and other animals, a low-cost pet clinic, and various other educational resources for the public to learn how to properly care for their pets. NTC will also volunteer again at the July Humane Pinellas event Bark in the Park at Brighthouse Field.
NTC's team members are incredibly community-conscious and always give above and beyond what's expected of them. Earlier this month they donated 438 pounds of food for Feeding Tampa Bay's Cereal for Summer, a cause dedicated to feed Tampa Bay's needy children.
