Cassandra Craig is the eRecord Support Manager who started working at NTC in 2012.
We sat down with Cassandra to ask her some questions about her experience working at NTC. Cassandra was nominated as an Employee of the Month by an employee in a different division and in their words, "she been instrumental in the tracking of loans and eRecording while maintaining accuracy."
1. What is your favorite part of working at NTC?
My favorite part of working at NTC is I am able to work with others that share the passion of wanting to succeed. I am always willing to climb the ladder to the top and with NTC I am provided the tools to do so.
- How long have you worked with NTC?
I am actually a re-hire. I was originally hired for DE back in 2012. I was with the company for almost a year and then decided to move back to Boston. I was re-hired Dec 2014 and I am coming up on 2 years.
- Have you worked in other divisions/departments at NTC? If so, which ones? And how did it help you where you are now?
I was originally hired for Data Entry (DE), then moved to Remedy (2012). When I was re-hired I was hired for State and County and then I moved to eRecord. Working in eRecord, you have to have a basic understanding of DE guidelines, Basic Oracle, State and County requirements and an understanding of rejections seeing as eRecord handles all of the above. Working in these other areas and being trained in a few more has definitely helped.
- What professional training/experience do you have in the housing industry and/or in your field?
I have picked up a lot of knowledge through NTC for the housing industry and within the business field. I am actually working on my degree for Business Administration and Management so my position does help with that and expands my knowledge.
- Do you have any hobbies/outside interests that you enjoy?
Seeing as I am still fairly new to Florida, I currently have an interest to explore more of it. I have a to-do list that I am working on. I recently purchased a house so my other hobbies include fixing it up to make it more mine.
- What are three things NTC team members don’t know about you?
Back in 2012, my sister, brother and mother all worked with me here at NTC. The only family member that did not was my father.
I am very family oriented and enjoy the holiday months just because of all the traditions my family has.
I enjoy traveling and have pretty much road tripped the entire east coast. I am currently working on a to-do list for more island travel.
- What professional advice do you want to give to NTC team members who want to advance in their career? Do you have a mentor, did they offer you valuable advice you want to share?
Professional advice that I would give to NTC Team members is never be afraid to ask questions. If there is something that you do not understand, someone will have an answer and will be able to explain it to you. Anyone I have come in contact with, I express this to them. I still ask questions about certain things. It is a learning process.
- Feel free to share any personal information here. Pets, children, marital status, favorite foods, anything for NTC Team members to get to know you better.
I have two four-legged kids that require more attention than my actual niece and nephew. I am currently in school to which I should hopefully have my degree by spring 2017.
